Seersucker Season is upon Us [Ladies]

Without a doubt one of my favorite parts of Spring/Summer season is seeing ladies in their floral spring/summer dresses. Betabrand has added a twist to the spring/summer dress like only they can. Betabrand has a unique design style all their own and I really like this new take on the summer dress. They have also added a more laid back hoodie option. They have brought a popular Spring & Summer fabric Seersucker (one of my favorite fabrics) to the Summer dress and has given you ladies a summer hoodie option in the same material for those cool summer nights. What I like most about these items is the on trend details with accents trimming, contrast lining, and bright colors.

Stylish Saints: Amarachi

Stylish Saints will highlight the personal style of men and women who represent Christ while looking incredibly fashionable. Peep the breakdown of some of their looks, and find out how you can boost your wardrobe so you too can be a stylish saint!

Name: Amarachi Eseonu
Age: 21
Location: Cambridge, MA
What inspires her style: "My style is mostly inspired by my mother's style back in the day. My typical day of shopping is leaving my room and entering my mother's closet. No matter how many time I go, there is always a hidden jewel waiting to be found."
What I like about Amarachi's style: Amarachi is not afraid to step out of the box with her style and easily mixes vintage and trendy items without appearing to try. She dresses modestly and for her body type, yet her wardrobe is filled with versatile and unique items. Let's check out her style in the following pics:

Casual
Here Amarachi pairs a dolman-sleeved striped tee with bright red straight-legged pants. Unassuming outfit, but the color on the bottom of the outfit is much more exciting than if the red were in her top. To make this outfit even cooler, she adds her signature readers and a gold chandelier necklace, topping it all off with a straw bowler. This outfit is a perfect demonstration of how to mix fabrics, colors, and trends in a non-overbearing manner.
Semi-Formal
Here Amarachi opts for a tailored menswear look with feminine touches. A white v-neck top and black straight-leg trousers form the basis of her look, but her bright blue vintage blazer keeps the outfit from being drab. Note the fit and detail of her blazer, with the shoulder pads, single button, and angled jacket. Jewelry is kept to a minimum but black open-toe pumps soften up her look so it's not overly masculine.

Formal
Vintage dresses can be hard to pull off, but Amarachi perfectly demonstrates how to make it work! First, she chooses a dress with an interesting but not overbearing pattern. Secondly, she makes sure the dress fits her body perfectly, to avoid the frumpy grandma appeal (not!) that vintage dresses can often have. Third, she customizes her dress with a red corset brooch. A loose high bun also modernizes the look so it's not 1970's prom. Again, jewelry is kept simple as to not overpower the dress, but Amarachi works that berry lip color!

GET BOOTED - Winter 2012 [Ladies]

Tis the season to Get Booted. Everybody has their favorite pair some are still looking for that pair. So here we are to the rescue. You can go for a more polished or a rugged look. We are going to cover both ladies and gents in this one. We don’t want to leave anybody out. We were raised with manners, so ladies first gentlemen.
While we're not getting heaps of snow like in other parts, we're nevertheless planning ahead and scouting the warmest winter gear we can find. If there is anything from winters past you should know, it's that your cold- weather wardrobes need staples alongside all those cashmere cardis and high-rise denim, to survive in style. Please, resist the urge to frump it up ladies — instead, score yourself some seriously chic snow boots and add them to your footwear repertoire for the season. Whether you're into cozy shearling or dramatic lace-ups, we've found a pair to warm up both your feet and your look.
