First group up was Broken ChainZ, they are a group of musician's who love God and who's purpose is to spread the message of Freedom through repentance and redemption by the blood of Jesus Christ. They first ministered their lead single 'Freedom Cry' which is available on iTunes, (Freedom Cry). The authority in which the drums, synthesizers, bass, and guitars possesed show the freedom that they sang about. At the end of the song they went into the chorus of well known hymn 'Lamb of God' that punctuated the message of their song and the purpose of their ministry. They also did 'Cross Anthem' that will be on their project that's coming in the near future. Be on the lookout for great things coming from them.
Next we had BLESSED. He came with his Christian Rap us giving us a powerful and captivating performance that left us empowered as we chanted 'You've got to go' letting the devil know that all that he is trying to do is not allowed and he's got to go.
After chanting like that we had Doobie Powell up! Coming from Connecticut he came and gave us some great singing and great playing as he sat behind the keys. Due to car trouble his band was unable to play with him, but he had two of New York's greatest musicians in Carlin White and Dwayne "DW" Wright accompany him. View the videos to see what I'm talking about.
After Doobie we had Jules Bartholomew & Judacamp. They sang three songs, two of which are from their current album, 180 Degrees that's currently available on iTunes. They not only sang but ministered 'No Record' and 'Change Me Now'. They way in which Jules led the song the people really were really able to relate and just worship. After that they did their leading single 'Dance' and we sure we're dancing in the pews and aisles at Mount Moriah AME Church.
Special thank you to Andre 'A-Minor' Johnson for allowing us to be apart and cover this event. We most certainly had a great time and enjoyed ourselves.
