TRU Praise Inside The Music

On August 25, TRU Praise hosted an "Inside The Music" concert that featured them, their music, and the stories of their experience together in an intimate setting. We were at Complete Studios located in lovely Brooklyn NY, started off with the leader of TRU Praise, Marcus Pass (@BigUncleTRU) giving the history of TRU Praise and what they have worked towards since its inception.  He also asked the audience for feedback on their recent album "Journey", this album debuted at Number 6 on the Christian/Gospel charts on iTunes on its release date. People shared their thoughts and feedback on this great project and they also shared what they thought could be improved on. After all cables were plugged in and microphones checked, it was time to start.

TRU Praise started off their set with "Choose Christ". This is by far my favorite song on the album. I love what it represents, the anthem in which it has, and the vigor that it must be sung with. Followed by that was, All the Time, The Calling, Fix My Heart, and Glad. These songs have not only become permanent fixture in TRU's performance, but it has become something that was made to make a difference and their music is clearly making a difference in and around New York City. New Music: Have Your Way-David Metayer & One Accord

Have you ever gone through a situation in life and what you're trying to do or accomplish you tell God, "have your way?" This new single from David Metayer and One Accord, a local band  from Brooklyn, N.Y., embodies that. The first stanza says "steering the wheel of life and it has not worked for me, I've tried every lane and it has not worked for me." This song creates a story that identifyies a problem,  that many of us may face, of trying to do things on our own, but as it progresses the song CLEARLY indicates the fact that God is needed.

With the high energy sound of this bass thumping, guitar blazing, drum thrashing track, the message is phenomenal. It's a representation of us just giving all to God, surrendering our lives, will, and purpose to Him and telling him "Have Your Way." This track is one of those tracks that once you start singing it, it's easy to remember; the message becomes apart of you even if you're not noticing that. (It happens to me all the time).
